Thank you so much for sharing your story and your thoughts. I agree with every bit of it. I’m not sure whether you saw my last post on this thread but anyway I also got my ASDs treated last December. Had to go down the path which I least expected but now I’m doing well and recovering fine. Cheers to good health
Thank you so much
I myself am knew to this but I am trying to figure out why it is considered multiple?
My understanding was our flaps did not seal right or at all. Yours just has multiple spots it did not seal.
Therefore, I relate it to sewing a patch on a hole in jeans. We cover the whole thing to make it secure and less likely to pull apart around the patch.
I had the largest possible PFO as my flap never even tried to seal at birth. Therefore my device covers the entire opening.
I learned with my 2 neck fusions… fix it all the first time.
My c6-7 disk blew out and c5-6 was bulging. Doctor was going to do double plate, but last minute talked himself out of it. Well 13 months later, the c5-6 could not take the increase pressure and completely collapsed resulting in second surgery.
Based on my experiences and what you provided, I personally would do one large one if, after a nickle Test, you are not allergic to nickle.
