I am very proud and emotional to announce that it has been 10 years since I’ve had open heart surgery! Today is a very big day for me and I couldn’t be happier

Jessica, how wonderful! We would love to hear of some of your achievements and/or experiences in the last 10 years. What have you been up to?
Well I was 8 when I had it done and so I learnt how to swim and to ride a bike 
just recently I have done a 10 mile walk for my local charity too

I couldn’t have done anything without my mum and dads support they inspire me to do more in life and they will continue to do that
5 years now after ASD closure at age 28. My friend is 12 years now after ASD closure at age 22. :)
This was quite an undertaking for one so young! My sincere congratulations to you and your parents on this success! I think that this scar would also be something to be proud of! You really are an inspiration!
