I would like to ask you all that have been through oppen heart surgery for closure of asd what kind of patch was used.My sister has Swiss cheese like asd and we discussed today with a surgent that believes that even thought it is foreign material dacron patch is the way to go because it has more endurance.
I have been trying to find articles or research done on this matter and aren’t able to find anything that compaires the two.
Did any of your surgents discuss the matter with you?
does anyone have any literature available?
