Medical Insurance

I have been without health insurance for about 10 months now. I am concerned that when we do get coverage again that my CHD/Repair will be considered preexisting. Even though it has been almost a year since I had my ASD and PFO repaired and everything looks good and I haven't had any other serious issues since. Has anyone had any experience with this?

After my ASD repair I got married and switched over my insurance coverage to my husbands plan. They did call and talk to all my physicians and collect documents stating my heart was repaired and heatlhy ect. I had no other problems with my new insurance provider.

I had my closure in 1967 as a child. My ASD has always been a pre-existing condition for any insurance. Not only that, insurance companies advertise that term is cheaper than whole life. That advertising based based on zero medical problems. even in my early twenties, term was more expensive than whole life. Once you have been diagnosed with ASD, forget about term insurance.
